What is Biz Bash?
BIZBASH
2008, the Rosenberg-Richmond Area Chamber's
successful answer to a customarily bland business
exposition, will be held on "Fat Tuesday", February 5 from 5
to 9pm at the Safari Texas Ranch. As the date implies, this
year's party theme will be Mardi Gras! "Laissez les bon
temps roullez!"
Back by popular demand, Ezra Charles and the Works,
well-known Houston area R&B band, will be enlivening the
festivities with their rollicking, superbly-crafted,
original fusion of Bayou City R&B, New Orleans-inspired
second line funk, South Louisiana swamp pop, sultry blues,
barrel house boogie woogie and plain old
rock
'n' roll. Fifteen of this area's finest restaurants will be
on hand to offer free samples of their most delicious
cuisine while crowds wander through aisles of vendor booths,
looking at a multitude of different products and services
available. Both adult libations and soft drinks will be
available for purchase.
Door prizes, given away at 30-minute intervals, will be a
big admission draw, and the great prizes awarded to the top
3 in the best-decorated booth contest (judged by a group of
Fort Bend dignitaries) will be an incentive for some
"over-the-top" booth decor! Each booth is 8 x 10' and
includes one skirted 8' table, 2 chairs, one trashcan, a
name sign and colorful back and side draping. The main
convention & expo area will be festooned with all the flair
and accoutrements one would expect to see at such an event.
The chamber is accepting reservations
(discounted
for chamber members) for the limited number of booth spaces
available for businesses and restaurants and tickets are on
sale for $5 in advance, or for only $3 each when purchased
in "Early Bird Special" packets of 50 for $150 -- great for
give-aways to your customers, potential clients or
employees. Tickets at the door will be $8. Call the chamber
today at 281-342-5464 for booth applications, tickets, or
more information, or visit the website at
